Delayed Revival

Alright so recently I mentioned I was bringing Exnet back, but I ran into some trouble.

There was a situation at my apartment, and it forced me to move out.

I have now moved in with my buddies drew and jimmie, and we'll hopefully be upgrading to a 3 bedroom soon. But we have constant access to internet, rather than the flaky wifi we sometimes had at the apartment.

Here's to hopeful thinking.

Working On the Civic.

A few weeks back I purchased a 1993 Honda Civic DX Hatchback, red. Everything in the car is basic, this car definitely wasn't fully loaded. It seems at the time it was brand new, the car was purchased bare-bone. No power windows, locks, seats, no analog clock on the dash, now cruise control, and no rear speakers.

At the time of my purchase, there were many things I slowly noticed I needed to work on. Luckily, nothing has been mechanical. Knock on wood, all I'm dealing with are cosmetic issues, minus the headlights. I've purchased a new set, just need to throw them on.

My list of things I need to work on go as follows...

Cosmetic
-Paint Job. Blacking it out from red.
-Seats need worked. For now just covering them, later either dying fabric black or buying new seats.
-Dashboard needs sanded and painted black
-Driver and Passenger interior door panels need replaced. Done
-Left and Right rear panels need sanded and repainted black. In progress
-Slot covers need sanded and painted black In progress
-Steering column needs to be fastened
-Fuse box cover and underside of steering column needs repainted black
-Radio needs installed. Done
-Subs need installed. Done
-Amp needs replaced for subs. In progress
-Cieling needs painted black. In progress
-Floor Mats need replaced. Done
-Quarter-panel rust needs inhibited, puttied, sanded, and repainted. In progress
-Center Console needs repainted black. In Progress

This is my discovered list thus far. I'll be workin on this with spare cash for the next few months to come. I'm not worried about the exterior paint as much as I'm worried about getting the interior nicely furnished and roomy. My interior is the only part I'm concerned about. I want the inside to mimic a black and red finish with a blue aura (blue aura acomplished by radio color and dome light glow.)

I want to feel like I'm sitting in luxury, when all it takes to accomplished this are a few nuts, bolts, and screws to remove all the panels and interior, then about $30 worth of $3 cans of paint and another $20 worth of clear-coat to go over it all.

Overall, this is my favorite project I've taken on. I shall keep you updated, not that many of you read these things anymore anyway.

-Jit.

Time for a makeover.

I'm feeling grungy. I shall be re-skinning exanity with a "grunge" look.

Stay tuned! Twisted Evil

Mohawk get's kid suspended

In Parma, Ohio, in a little school called Parma community school, a kindergarten student is suspended for having a mohawk. Apparantly, it was considered a distraction to the other students.
Even with having a dress code, can hair styles really be controlled as well.
Also, the child and parents had been warned earlier in the year by the teaching staff that it was a distraction and that the child should get the hair cut. They let the hair grow.
The principal felt that the hair was an infraction to the part of the dress code stating that the student should be properly be groomed to attend the school. What kind of school makes a kindergartner keep him/herself groomed.
There was no hearing for the suspension, the parents just decided to enroll their child to another school, being offended on how they were almost forced to cut their childs hair just to appease the school system.
It's communism i say. I think Joey and his theory was right. If you don't know, ask him.

Finally, a moment to think.

Over the past few weeks I've been so busy I haven't even so muched as taken a look at Exanity. Now that I have a second, I'm taking advantage of it. I could be in Ludow with a few buddies but I figured I should stick to my priorities most of the time, and go back to spoils any time I can.

A few things I will be working on are listed in a neat fashion, not for any real purpose other than to make a nice-looking main page post, Cool

Bot Prevention I will work on taking measures to prevent the registration and posting of internet bots. Random targeting finally landed on Exanity, I guess due to the number of hits we recieved to multiple pages from the Exanity.net domain, it started showing up on specific word searches on sites such as google or yahoo, that bots use to target sites. I will install a few plugins after some research, as well as monitor the registration of anonymous users.

Specifics Exanity doesn't have any specific use. I need to find one. I need to find a talent of mine, and incorporate it into Exanity. A site without purpose isn't a site at all, it's a bragging right. I don't like bragging about being able to host a website, so I get nothing out of this site ha. Hmm...

Ah fuck, I'm tired.

Bots, Spam, and Inactivity

These three topics need to be taken care of.

I will work on finding routes to prevent the registration of bots on Exanity. I'm not sure as to how they're bypassing Capcha but I have a feeling it has something to do with the use of PHPBB2 backdoors. I need to upgrade to phpbb3, but there are a few reasons why I cannot.

Posting by bots can only be stopped by myself as of right now.. I would like to give Xcom MOD privelages to help prevent anonymous posts while I'm away. I'll talk to Xcom of this soon.

As for the user Anonymous in the top posters, I wish I knew how that was accomplished, but again I'm sure it was the use of PHPBB2 backdoors.

Inactivity will be discussed later, I have to be to work in less than a half hour, blah..

Speak easy.

Downtime Due To Side Project, Read On

A few day ago I decided to take on a project of my own to help teach me more about php and mysql, that way I may be able to code my own portal systems or even just improve upon this one more greatly.

During this project, I used the mysql wizard in the exnet cpanel, without thinking I created a new user over top of the old user account which this side uses, and created a different password.

Fortunately, Joey and Shane informed me of the sql errors.

It took me a moment to figure out what I had done, but I figured it out eventually.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
